Radisson Hotel Group Dominates African Hospitality with Milestone Century Mark

Radisson Hotel Group has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 100 hotels in operation and under development across Africa. This accomplishment reinforces the company's position as a dominant force in the African hospitality industry, driven by a robust conversion strategy and a commitment to delivering high-quality guest experiences. By exceeding this century mark, the Group is effectively accelerating its 2030 growth ambition to lead the continent’s upper-upscale segment.

The expansion is anchored by the prestigious Radisson Blu brand, while the Radisson brand emerges as the fastest-growing portfolio member. Over the past twelve months, the Group signed 15 new hotels, adding approximately 2,500 rooms to its pipeline. Strategic market entries into the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe highlight a focused effort to diversify geographically while strengthening existing footprints in Morocco, Nigeria, and South Africa.

This development strategy prioritizes high-demand hubs and leisure corridors, including new ventures into safari lodges and resorts in regions like Zanzibar. By utilizing a flexible model that favors quality hotel conversions, Radisson Hotel Group ensures rapid market entry without compromising on international standards. This approach provides owners with resilient investment opportunities while meeting the evolving needs of modern business and leisure travelers across the continent.

Looking ahead, the Group remains dedicated to its long-term vision of sustainable growth within the African market. With a concrete pipeline under construction and deep-rooted regional expertise, Radisson is set to unlock further opportunities in secondary cities and emerging tourist destinations. This momentum not only solidifies their market leadership but also contributes significantly to the digital and economic transformation of the African tourism sector.
